A Craft Food & Beverage Long Weekend In Lancaster County
The trick is to arrive Thursday afternoon or evening since many venues beside breweries are closed on Sundays
Okay you made it now it's time to get out and stretch your legs. The Bird-in-Hand Bakeshop is a great first stop if you arrive in the afternoon before 5:00 PM. Get out walk around check out the farm animals, head inside for a few treats for now or for the room later.
If you are early enough you can stop at Rumspringa Brewing located in the upstairs of the Mt. Hope Wine Gallery. Relax have a cold one, perhaps buy some to go either for your room or to bring home. If wine is your thing the wine gallery downstairs has tastings and sells many gift items. Note - many of the wines are on the sweeter side here.

8:30 AM - Farm to table breakfast
10:30 AM - Lancaster Central Market Bring a bag or two while you stroll the aisles of Americas oldest continuously operating farmers market. Since 1730 this market has been connecting farmers and purveyors of provisions to the public. If you want you can even finish up your visit with a bite for lunch here or at one of many eateries in the area.

1:15 PM Kaufman Orchards Market - If you have any room left to stock your pantry after Lancaster Market Kaufman's will surely help fill it. Many bulk goods, fruits and premise made honey are among the many items you will find.
2:45 PM Waltz Vineyards
4:00 PM Stop for a buggy ride to see the area up close.
5:30 PM return to the inn to have a little down time.
6:30 PM Dinner at Millers Smorgasbord - An authentic local smorgasbord in business since the 1930's.
8:30 PM Night cap at Bespoke Brewing

10:00 AM Farm experience activities differ daily and seasonally
12:00 PM Garden Path Soap hand crafted natural soaps
12:30 PM Bird-in-Hand Bakeshop if you did not go Thursday or go straight to Bird-in-Hand Market. It's time to fill in on any spices, teas, coffees fresh meats etc you may have regretted not getting Friday.
3:00 PM Lapp Valley Dairy Farm - Dairy products right on the farm. Milk, eggs and their fresh ice cream. If you want you can stop by and visit with some of the cows who made your purchases.
4:00 PM Lil Country Store - Time for the local handmade goods such as quilts, leather goods woodcrafts and of course sweet goodies.
4:45 PM Miniature Horse Farm More local Amish crafts right on their farm. Great Amish root beer, crafts, furniture and more.
5:00 PM Back to the hotel
6:45 PM Dinner at Fireside Tavern. Note they have a good bar if you want to get there a little early or relax after your meal.
Sunday
Check-out between 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM breakfast off sight voucher included.
11:30 AM Stop at The Amish Village. Learn about Amish life tour the buildings visit the gift shop. You can even do a tour if you have not seen enough yet.
1:00 PM Depending on your direction of travel stop at Wacker Brewing, Victory Brewing or Troegs Brewing for a last beer and a bite for lunch.
